Grassy Shadows
Grassy Shadows is a reflective and celebratory workshop exploring native grasses that once heavily inhabited the Adelaide plains landscape. It investigates the beauty and importance of local endemic grasses by looking closely at specific species and their interconnected relationships. Through this hands-on workshop we will use natural materials to create immersive drawings for site-specific public space that explore our personal experience of the native plant world.
Grassy Shadows is an audio-led workshop with participants listening to workshop instructions with headphones, with the participants creating an ephemeral mural on the ground. Materials included: chalk, charcoal with water and clay paint.
